About this item
Morphological Features
Echeveria 'Puli-lindsayana' is a medium-sized variety with a rosette shape. The leaves are oval, smooth, and slightly fleshy, with the leaf surface slightly curling inward in a spoon-like shape. The leaf tips are sharply pointed, and both the leaf tips and edges tend to turn red. When in optimal condition, the plant's shape becomes more compact, the leaves thicken, and the red edges become bold and prominent. The leaf undersides may also turn slightly red.
Growth Habits and Care
Echeveria 'Puli-lindsayana' is a hardy and easy-to-care-for plant. During the spring and autumn growing seasons, it should be provided with sufficient light to maintain a compact rosette and enhance the red leaf edges. If light is insufficient, the plant may become leggy, the red edges will fade to green, and the leaves may spread out. Watering should be done once or twice a week, depending on the moisture level of the soil; avoid watering during rainy seasons as excessive moisture can cause the leaves to rot. In summer, provide partial shade, good ventilation, and control watering. If the leaves show signs of spreading, increase light exposure, especially during early morning or evening hours.
Watering
Echeveria 'Puli-lindsayana' does not tolerate waterlogging, so the watering principle is "water thoroughly when the soil is dry." During summer and winter, water should be controlled.
Light and Ventilation
This succulent prefers a well-ventilated and well-lit location, especially during the growing season when sufficient light is essential. However, during intense summer sunlight, it should be moved to a semi-shady area for care.
Temperature
Echeveria 'Puli-lindsayana' is not frost-tolerant. In winter, bring the plant indoors to keep it warm with a room temperature of around 10°C (50°F), and ensure it receives plenty of light. Do not water when the temperature drops below 3°C (37°F) and keep the soil dry.
Propagation
Echeveria 'Puli-lindsayana' can be propagated through leaf or stem cuttings.
With its striking red edges and deep green foliage, Echeveria 'Puli-lindsayana' is an easy-to-care-for succulent with strong adaptability, making it ideal for beginners.
